LEIF OVE ANDSNES TO PERFORM AT THE SALZBURG FESTIVAL ON 22 AUGUST
Leif Ove Andsnes has been asked to step-in and replace Krystian Zimerman at short notice for a recital programme at the Salzburg Festival in the Grosses Festspielhaus on 22 August. Due to illness Krystian Zimerman has been forced to cancel and fortuitously the date has coincided with Leif Ove's current recital tour schedule. Leif Ove will perform solo works by Beethoven and Chopin - a programme which he performed yesterday at the Edinburgh International Festival and which the Herald Scotland newspaper hailed as "utterly spellbinding"
