Leif Ove Andsnes Returns to New York in September for New York Phil Opening & Greene Space Event
Leif Ove Andsnes returns to New York in September where he will be the guest artist with the New York Philharmonic and Alan Gilbert for the opening four concerts (September 19 – 22) of the new season, performing Kurtag's "Quasi una fantasia" and Beethoven's Piano Concerto no. 3. You can also join Leif Ove Andsnes at The Greene Space, as he continues his Beethoven Journey with his only New York solo appearance this season. He will perform Beethoven Sonatas No. 21, Op. 53 (“Waldstein”) and No. 22, Op. 54, and discuss his deep dive into Beethoven’s music.
