| hilde | luyten.h@gmail.com | 5th February 2008 | | Dear mister Leif Ove Andsnes, best wishes for feeling better by the day to a perfect health again - may the forced rest provide you with an extra store of it. Hearty warm greetings, hilde |
| Michael Chen | mpchen@yahoo.com | 14th January 2008 | I was among those who attended your Schumann Trio performance with BSO chamber players yesterday afternoon and I was delighted to witness how you provided the vitality, nuanced structural phrasing and rhythmic innovation in anchoring the 1st movement while gradually 'seduced" your fellow collaborators in the Schumann to become more engaged. YOu succeeded and from the 2nd movement onwards, the real musical gesture was integral and refeshing. Your pedaling footwork is almost as mesmerizing as your finger work - I can only remember Madame Maria Tipo who possessed comparable color and shading in her pedaling technique. Your Rachmaninoff 2nd was romantic, but non-sentimental with infused poetry and lyricism Rachmaninoff himself would have surely enjoyed! Looking forward to hearing your Brahms 2nd with the NYPhil....

| Gale Nelson | Gale_Nelson@brown.edu | 14th January 2008 | Dear Mr. Adnsens,
Your performance, along with those of Jules Eskin and Malcolm Lowe, of Schumann's Piano Trio No. 2 at Jordan Hall yesterday afternoon was exquisite. We hope that you recorded the performance (or will return to Boston to do so). We also hope that you'll be returning for another performance with the chamber players -- we are consistently delighted by their work, but this particular performance was transcendent.
With respect and best wishes,
Gale Nelson and Lori Baker

| Alexa C. | rosalind08@yahoo.com | 13th January 2008 | Mr. Andsnes -
Your performance of Rach No. 2 with the Boston Symphony Orchestra blew me away. I was completely floored by your playing. Please, don't let another ten years pass before visiting us in Boston again!
Respectfully,
Lexi |
| paul barlow | paulbarlow23@yahoo.co.uk | 16th December 2007 | Dear Leif,
I became an instant fan of yours when I heard your performance of Grieg's Piano Concerto in A minor at the BBC Proms in London(and the South Bank documentary) until that point I thought Stephen Kovacevich was the best version but yours tops it. I feel that you are one of the most absorbing pianists on the concert platform today. Not only do you have great technique but possess a lyrical, poetic quality that for me is lacking in some of todays pianists who are hailed as great technical virtuoso's but lack lyrical, poetic qualities that make a performance complete.Your Rach 3 in my opinion is better than Horowitz. |
| A. Leff | astridleff@web.de | 13th December 2007 | | Tusen takk for en fantastisk konsert i Dresden!

Hilsen

| Marita | marita@mks.no | 12th September 2007 | Hei Leif Ove,
| kiyoko | kiyoko@schumanniana.com | 29th August 2007 | | In the recent issue of eOngaku-no-tomo (Friends of Music)f magazine, I found an article forecasting your visit to Japan in October 2008, with the greatest pleasure. I look forward to hearing your performance at the Saitama Arts Theater, one of the best venues for piano recital in Japan, again. |
| Erling | erling.eliasson@mail.dk | 21st August 2007 | | Just got your rach. 1 & 2. Bravo and -wow!!!: as if it was the first time I heard it (and it is not!!! - actually thougth I needn´t hear it again) everything was so well said and proportioned - and so manly. You just got it right on; there is no definitive recording of the piece - of course, but yours is among the best of what I have heard! - also cados to Pappano and the orchestrs of course!!! Seams as if you two have a perfect dialog. Wish you would do some Tchaikovsky - all of him actually, with the same manliness and gusto. All the best. Erling |

| Caldron | patricia-caldron@hotmail.com | 31st July 2007 | | having heard your HORIZONS. It's light, relaxing and pleasant. After piles of "big stuffs", it's a very good thing back to the purest pieces of piano music. Your choice of this encore album is very special, the music covers a different variety of music. I also read the booklet, the text is just as good as the music. Like them very much. |
